Homeowners witnessed substantial frozen pellets as large as 7cm in particular locations. Meteorological experts announced that various areas across Queensland had been hit with substantial ice precipitation.

State Emergency Services received 598 emergency reports across the state, mostly for property damage but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.
